ALERT: 19-009-RO Heavy rains and flooding Afghanistan (not activated)

In the past few years were many of the mentioned cities in Afghanistan hit by drought, but surprisingly since the beginning of the spring 2019 has most of the cities been affected by continuously rain.

Afghanistan has been extremely preoccupied with war and therefore you can almost not notice any infrastructure progress - neither in cities nor in the countryside.

Therefore the huge rain and the followed floods have taken many lives and ruined many homes in both the cities and outside.

Many people have lost their homes and properties and due to the ruins they can’t go back again. Many of them have been forced to leave the area and move to other cities, and therefore many of them have even not access to clean water, food or medicine.
