Food Security Crisis in Somali Region, Ethiopia (17-016-SO) (Not Activated)

Decision: Not to activate the DERF to respond to the experienced food security crisis in Somali Region, Ethiopia Reason: The DERF was activated on 28 August 2018 to respond to the slow onset food security crisis experienced in Ethiopia and provided funding for a number of Danish non-HPA CSOs to respond to this crisis. It is assessed that the experienced humanitarian crisis is neither a new crisis nor is it at spike in the ongoing crisis. Therefore, the current crisis is assessed not to fall within the DERF mandate.
